Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the Salmon
Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Make the Herb Mixture
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, and parsley. If you like a slightly sweet flavor, add honey or brown sugar to this mixture.
  4. Arrange the Salmon
Place the salmon fillets, skin-side down, on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon the herb mixture over each fillet, ensuring they are well coated.
  5. Add Lemon Slices
Place thin lemon slices over and around the salmon fillets for additional lemon flavor.
  6. Bake the Salmon
Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  7. Garnish and Serve
Once done, remove from the oven. Garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired. Serve the salmon warm, ideally with a side of vegetables, salad, or rice.
